1944 Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Electrical Engineering

1944-1948 Engineer in charge of test department of rotating machinery for the Electric Tamper and Equipment Company (Montreal)

1948-1982 Lecturer (1948-1953), Assistant Professor (1953-1956), and Titular Professor (1956-1982), of Electrical Engineering at Laval University (Québec)

1951-1962 Founder and President of the School of Industrial Electricity, an institution devoted to the training of technicians in electricity, electronics and telecommunications

1959-1969 Founder and President of Gen-tec Inc., a company specializing in the repair and maintenance of electrical and electronic apparatus, as well as the manufacture of peak-load stabilizers and educational equipment

1969-1972 Director and Vice-President of Lab-Volt (Quebec) Ltd.

1983 Named Professor Emeritus of Laval University , Department of Electrical Engineering

1987-2002 Chair of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Technical Committee on the International System of Units (SI)

1988 Recipient of the McNaughton Gold Medal, presented on behalf of the IEEE Canadian Region for leadership in the field of electrical engineering as an industrialist, inventor, educator and outstanding contributor to the development of power distributing and controlling systems as well as technical and scientific literature.

1993-2002 Chair of the Canadian Advisory Committee On the International Organization for Standardization, Technical Committee TC12 on Quantities, Units, Symbols and Conversion factors
